At Ca l'Esteve we use wood from the surrounding forests to heat the house. The stove is very efficient and capable of heating all the rooms, but radiators may also be used when the temperature drops below zero. Burning local wood reduces the need to transport often poor quality timber
The garden has a purpose built barbecue, table and chairs. Charcoal and wood to start the fire are provided. The garden is intended for relaxing and can be enjoyed all year round - depending on the weather. In winter, the midday sun can be very warm, making outdoor eating a pleasure.
The bathroom has a washhand basin, large shower, separate toilet. Soap and towels are provided.

Catalan Pre Pyrenees
Ca l'Esteve, Gósol, is in the heart of the Catalan Pre Pyrenees, at the foot of one of the most emblematic mountains in the region, Pedraforca. The Cadí-Moixeró chain is within easy reach, following the route Picasso took when he left the village to return to Paris. El Verd and Ensija are two more interesting mountains worth visiting, but do not forget the valleys and more gentle routes that radiate from the village.
A short journey by car opens up a wealth of possibilities that combine walking with botany, bird watching, geology, history, archaeology or just enjoying fantastic landscapes.
